Motif V5 Hip Hop R&B Mix

NOTE: Since Hip Hop/R&B Mix contains new multi samples, it is NOT compatible with the S90 or Motif Rack. It is completely compatible with all Motif Keyboards. No RAM expansion is required.

We wanted to try something new with this soundbank so we decided to dig into our large collection of sounds and imported several new multi samples into the Motif to work with. We started by importing fifty new WAV samples from our Akai MPC and EMU SP1200 Collections. Mostly classic drum samples; Kicks, Snares, Hi Hats as well as several Horn, Guitar and Orchestra Hits.

Since all the samples are short in length we were able to fit all fifty in the Motifs internal four meg RAM memory and no RAM expansion is needed for you to be able to access the new samples. We then used the new samples to create four new custom Drum Kits. In addition to the four new kits we also created the usual 128 new patch voices. The voices combine the new multi samples as well as the factory samples.

The 128 voices contain all the usual sounds that you will find useful in creating Hip Hop/R&B Tracks. New drum beats, basses, leads, guitars, hits, strings and pads and a wide variety of keyboard sounds. All thrill and no fill.
