Techno/Dance mix is filled with many rhythmic type sounds. The first 64 programs are all rhythmic in nature. They are composed of "Drum Loops" and "Rhythmic Pulses". The interesting thing about the drum loops is that each key on the Tritons keyboard will trigger a different drum sound using that loop. Start off playing Middle C and you will get a feel for what the loop sounds like. After that you can experiment with different notes to create different sounds using the loop.

Playing two or more notes can create a completely different feel to the loop, so there are endless combinations that you can play. What is very cool is that loop will never sound the same twice if that's what you choose to do. The same can be said for the rhythmic pulses.

The second 64 programs is made up of sixteen analog and synth bass type sounds and forty eight "Hits & Bits". The Hits & Bits seem to sound best when playing one note or in octaves. Most of them (with the exception of the String sounds) are not meant for chords or multi note playing. As you techno fans will know, most of the sounds you hear in Techno/Dance tracks are mono notes mixed together with a cool beat.

In the 128 combinations is where the real interesting stuff takes place. Combining the drum loops, rhythmic pulses, bass sounds and hits & bits, an entire track can be easily created from one combo. There are dozens of combos that start off with a rhythm that you can then jam to adding a bass sound or some hits and bits on top.
