With the Studio/Session mix, our goal was to create a soundbank that would be useful for musicians doing "live gigs" or "studio sessions". All the sounds are geared towards the type of stuff that one would use in these situations. There are plenty of keyboards, strings, guitars & basses, leads and other similar type sounds.

Unlike our other Triton soundbanks, there are no rhythmic patterns using the Tritons arpeggiators. We have purposely stayed away from that kind of sound since those sounds can be found in great numbers in our other Triton soundbanks.

Many people have commented that the Tritons Acoustic pianos are weak and would like more piano sounds. What I have done is to "layer" the Tritons acoustic piano sound with other samples (Strings, Choirs, Pads, Horns ect). The layering of the two sounds seem to make the piano sound better since it is not as "exposed" as it would be by itself. Actually, we are surprised that these kind of layered sounds are not in the factory settings since the effect is very useful for Studio/Session work. I guess the factory programmers were more focused on creating a Techno/Synth Dance type machine. With the Studio/Session mix we have tried to take the Triton in a different direction.
